Medical electives are offered to all levels of learners from first year medical students to second year Family Medicine Residents. Offered are electives in the following specialties: family medicine, emergency medicine, hospitalist medicine, general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and psychiatry. Electives are offered throughout the year and accommodations are available. KLHCI works in conjunction with our preceptors, the Ross Memorial Hospital and Rural Ontario Medical Program (ROMP) to coordinate the training opportunities.
KLHCI is accepting applications for tuition assistance, up to $10,000 per year to medical students in their second, third and fourth years of study at any Ontario medical school planning to practice family medicine. This assistance is provided following the signing of a four year Return of Service agreement. To discuss further, contact us.
