Dr. Anderson Retirement/Dr. Paul Announcement

City of Kawartha Lakes, March 15, 2021:  Kawartha Lakes Health Care Initiative (KLHCI) extends their sincere congratulations and appreciation to Dr. Peter Anderson on the event of his retirement, effective April 1, 2021.  KLHCI thanks him for the many years of care that he has provided to his patients.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Baldeep Paul has accepted Dr. Anderson’s patients and will continue the practice in its current location.

Dr. Baldeep Paul joined the City of Kawartha Lakes medical community in 2014 and has been providing locum coverage in Dr. Anderson’s clinic since that time, as well as community palliative care through Kawartha Lakes Hospice, along with hospitalist and surgical assist services at the Ross Memorial Hospital.  As of April 1, 2021, Dr. Paul will accept care of Dr. Anderson’s patients.  Dr. Anderson’s patients are required to contact the clinic, before October 1st, 2021, in order to make sure their records are transferred properly.  At this time, Dr. Paul will not be accepting any new patients.

Lisa Green, KLHCI President, says “Dr. Anderson has been an integral part of the health care of our City’s residents for many years.  We hope he enjoys his well-deserved retirement in health and happiness!  KLHCI is very pleased that Dr. Paul has accepted Dr. Anderson’s practice and we wish to thank her for continuing to care for his patients.”

Dr. Anderson notes that “it has been a great privilege to work as a family physician in this community for almost 39 years.  Dr. Paul is a caring and experienced doctor and I’m so pleased she is able to take over the practice”.

“I would like to thank Dr. Anderson for being a wonderful family physician and an invaluable mentor to me as I started my career.  I am looking forward to continuing to care for our patients and our community”, says Dr. Paul.
